Becoming Jane (2007)

Biography|Drama|Romance

A biographical portrait of a pre-fame Jane Austen and her romance with a young Irishman.

If you are a fan of Jane Austen you should watched this movie. It's a biography with drama and romance what makes it a great movie.

Bright Star (2009)

Biography|Drama|Romance

The drama based on the three-year romance between 19th century poet John Keats and Fanny Brawne, which was cut short by Keats' untimely death at age 25.

Brilliant! Describes part of the life of the poet John Keats. I confess that when I watch the movie I didn't have any ideia of who was Keats. The movie was amazing, the poems, the romance and of course drama. I loved it!

Pride and Prejudice (2005)

Drama|Romance

Sparks fly when spirited Elizabeth Bennet meets single, rich, and proud Mr. Darcy. But Mr. Darcy reluctantly finds himself falling in love with a woman beneath his class. Can each overcome their own pride and prejudice?

Everyone who heard about Jane Austen also heard about Pride and Prejudice. This movie is a remake, I don't know, but in my opinion this one is the best. If you love love stories, you know: wacth Pride and Prejudice.

Sweet November (2001)

Drama|Romance

Nelson is a man devoted to his advertising career in San Francisco. One day, while taking a driving test at the DMV, he meets Sara. She is very different from the other women in his life. Nelson causes her to miss out on taking the test and later that day she tracks him down. One thing leads to another and Nelson ends up living with her through a November that will change his life forever.

Perfect! What can I say? The romance, the drama... Perfect!

The Lake House (2006)

Drama|Fantasy|Romance

A lonely doctor who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its former resident, a frustrated architect. They must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary romance before it's too late.

Well, the fantasy made the romance and the drama even better. Want more? Wacth the movie! It was great!

The Young Victoria (2009)

Biography|Drama|History

A dramatization of the turbulent first years of Queen Victoria's rule, and her enduring romance with Prince Albert.

I'm not a big fan of history, but what can I say? This movie caught my attention and I love it, you must watch.

James Francis Cameron was born on August 16, 1954 in Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada. He moved to the United States in 1971.
In 1997, he wrote and directed one of the best movies in history, "Titanic". The movie went on to break all box office records and earned 11 Academy Awards. It became the highest grossing movie of all time. The rest is history. James Cameron is now one of the most sought-after directors in Hollywood.

"The story could not have been written better...The juxtaposition of rich and poor, the gender roles played out unto death (women first), the stoicism and nobility of a bygone age, the magnificence of the great ship matched in scale only by the folly of the men who drove her hell-bent through the darkness. And above all the lesson: that life is uncertain, the future unknowable...the unthinkable possible."
— James Cameron

Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio was born on November 11, 1974 in Los Angeles, California.
His career began with his appearance in several commercials and educational films.

In 1997, DiCaprio starred in James Cameron’s “Titanic”, alongside Kate Winslet. Leo’s character was the twenty-year-old Jack Dawson, a penniless Wisconsin man who wins two tickets for the third-class on the fated “Titanic”.
"I have no connection with me during that whole Titanic phenomenon and what my face became around the world. (…) I’ll never reach that state of popularity again, and I don’t expect to. It’s not something I’m going to try to achieve either.”
— Leonardo DiCaprio

Kate Elizabeth Winslet was born on October 5, 1975 in Reading Berkshire, England. Winslet’s career began on television, with a co-starring role in “Dark Season”.
In 1997, Kate starred in James Cameron’s “Titanic”, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. Winslet’s character was the sensitive seventeen-year-old Rose DeWitt Bukater, a fictional first-class socialite who survives the sinking of “Titanic”.

"Titanic was totally different and nothing could have prepared me for it… We were really scared about the whole adventure. (…) Jim (Cameron) is a perfectionist, a real genius at making movies. But there was all this bad press before it came out, and that was really upsetting.”
— Kate Winslet
